Stefanus Alliance International, a growing missions and human rights organisation based in Oslo, Norway, hosts the secretariat for the International Panel of Parliamentarians for Freedom of Religion or Belief (IPPFoRB). We are now seeking a highly skilled and motivated Communications Advisor to join the IPPFoRB team and play a key role in advancing this vital cause.

You are adaptable and eager to learn, with the ability to build relationships and engage with high-profile individuals. Qualifications

  • Relevant higher education at a master’s degree level (extensive and relevant work experience may compensate for formal education).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Expertise in storytelling that captivates and inspires.
  • A solid understanding of international human rights standards, particularly freedom of religion or belief, is an advantage.
  • Fluency in oral and written English is required for tasks related to IPPFoRB. Norwegian and other languages are beneficial. Within Stefanus Alliance, the internal administrative language is Norwegian. 
  • Experience in international or cross-cultural environments.
  • Practical skills and knowledge of social media. Familiarity with Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and WordPress is highly desirable.

Your Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Initiating, developing, and coordinating IPPFoRB’s communication and advocacy efforts.
  • Producing high-quality photo and video content.
  • Managing and maintaining social media platforms, newsletters, and websites, ensuring their strategic relevance.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with regional and international partners.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with relevant national and international media outlets.
  • Support with the planning and execution of IPPFoRB events
  • Additional tasks may be added based on the evolving needs of the secretariat.

  • A full-time position (100%) based in Oslo, Norway. The IPPFoRB secretariat is funded by the Norwegian public development administration through a dedicated agreement. The position is permanent but dependent on continued external funding beyond 2025. In the event of funding cessation or significant reduction, termination may be considered in accordance with Section 15-7 of the Norwegian Working Environment Act.
